My husband and I visited this resort in February for a week with our 3 year old son and absolutely LOVED it! The beds were phenomenal, the service was superb, terrific amenities and the place was positively gorgeous!!!!! Woke up to a view of the ocean every day and watched the sunset on our balcony... Would stay again in a heartbeat!

My kids and I love Grand Pacific Palisades. We've been owners for about 6 years and can't wait to go there again this year. The location, the views, amenities and a wonderful staff. I always feel very relaxed while I'm there.

For several years, the Grand Pacific Palisades Resort has repeatedly "wowed" our family. Honestly, the place is like Nordstrom on steroids. You won't find one employee not smiling -- whether it's at the front desk or one of those nice maintenance folks handing you that extra bag of popcorn. The views of the beautiful Pacific Ocean and the Carlsbad Flower Fields are majestic. I regularly snap pictures and post to Facebook and the comments are, "Where are you staying?" Here's the perfect Grand Pacific Palisades stay: Sunday - arrive, unpack and hit the pool. Dinner at Karl Strauss (on site.) Monday - hit Legoland and Sea Life across the street, then enjoy a world-class massage by Kathy or Shay and watch the soreness in your feet vanish immediately. Tuesday - visit Sea World (Lego is closed) and unwind in one of the resort's many spas (there's even a 'secret' one which most people don't know about.) Wednesday - grab a book and perch yourself on a comfy lounge chair. Phone the desk and reserve one of the many outdoor BBQ grills and grab some marinated steak from the Costco that's walking distance. Eat at the outdoor tables and watch the sunset through the breezeway (have your camera handy - the shots will be amazing.) Thursday - bring the kids to one of the many activities offered (Build-a-Bear, making candles, facepainting, s'mores by the pool - whatever they're offering that day.) Stop by and speak to someone about ownership packages. Friday - San Diego Zoo or Wild Animal Park. You've paced yourself to maximize your stay. Visit one of the many Carlsbad boutique wine shops in the area and grab yourself a bottle to uncork and sip while looking over the Flower Fields. Saturday - La Jolla Cove after the pool. Relax and unwind for a few hours in the morning, then make a 20-min drive south to La Jolla Cove. Visit the tidepools, wave to the seals, search for dolphins. Make sure your media card was downloaded to the laptop so there's room for more pics! Enjoy!
